Lisa A. Mejia
Lisa A. Mejia is a Registered & Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist. Her journey into dietetics and nutrition began on a quest to learn how to improve her own disordered eating for disease prevention. Lisa’s career in dietetics began in 2006 as a diet clerk in a variety of skilled nursing facilities in New Jersey while studying to become a Registered Dietetic Technician. As a Registered Dietetic Technician, she continued to work within a skilled nursing facility and rehabilitation center in Delray Beach, FL, while studying to become a Registered Dietitian. In December of 2011, Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics/Nutrition from Florida International University located in Miami, FL. In 2012, Lisa relocated to Spring Hill, FL where she began her career at Spring Hill Regional Hospital (now Tampa General Hospital Spring Hill) as a Registered Dietitian. While working within Spring Hill Regional Hospital, Lisa observed readmissions of patients with acute complications of Inflammatory Bowel Disease despite following Medical Nutrition Therapy guidelines. Due to her curiosity to try and find solutions to the nutritional challenges experienced, Lisa came across the Academy of Integrative and Functional Nutrition and became an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP) in April of 2018.

Precision Nutrition Care, Designed For Your Patients
Referring Providers Looking To Collaborate With Us?
Complex nutritional challenges often co-exist with a variety of medical conditions. This results in disordered eating behaviors that lead to malnutrition and compromise disease management and health outcomes. We encourage physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners to partner with a registered dietitian to enhance patient care through integrated nutrition support. Giving your patient access to a registered dietitian can provide them with the support and tools needed to optimize nutritional status, improve quality of life, decrease hospital admissions, and support long-term health outcomes.

Blurb For Physicians
We encourage physicians to partner with a registered dietitian to enhance patient care through integrated nutrition support. Or are you a physician looking for a dietitian to complement your practice? Or we can make it specific to GI, malnutrition, and diabetes, and target those physicians. They can contact me by fax, phone, or email for a referral, and I can get in contact with the patient to help schedule. Is there a place here where we can emphasize that the uniqueness of the programs I provide is that they are specifically designed and developed in detail to the needs of the patient. Each patient gets a letter from me detailing the goals of our visit with additional information and supportive documents, foods to try, places to buy, etc, that are specifically unique to them, their situation, and their needs.
